
The load capacity parameter of Q195 steel prop is a core index to measure its safety and applicability in construction projects,which is comprehensively affected by the material properties of Q195 steel,the structural design of the prop and the actual working environment.As a common carbon structural steel,Q195 steel has clear mechanical properties that lay the foundation for the load capacity of the steel prop.The yield strength of Q195 steel is not less than 195 MPa,and the tensile strength is between 315 MPa and 430 MPa,with an elongation of not less than 33%,which determines the basic bearing potential of the Q195 steel prop under compression and tension loads.
In practical application,the load capacity of Q195 steel prop is not a fixed value,but changes with the adjustment of its length and the eccentricity of the applied load.Generally,Q195 steel props are designed as telescopic structures,with the adjustable length usually ranging from 800 mm to 6000 mm,and different length ranges correspond to different safe load capacities.For example,when the adjustable length is within 1.8 m to 3.2 m(the common closed and open height range of small-size props),the safe load can reach 30 kN to 40 kN under the condition of small load eccentricity;when the length is adjusted to more than 4.0 m,the safe load will decrease accordingly due to the increase of structural slenderness ratio,which needs to be calculated according to the actual length and load conditions to ensure safety.
The structural dimensions of Q195 steel prop also have a direct impact on its load capacity.The common outer tube outer diameter is 60 mm,the inner tube outer diameter is 48 mm,and the tube thickness is usually 2 mm or 3.5 mm.The thicker the tube wall,the higher the load-bearing capacity of the prop under the same length condition.In addition,the load eccentricity is an important factor affecting the load capacity:when the load acts along the longitudinal axis of the prop(no eccentricity),the prop can give full play to its compression resistance;when there is eccentricity,the prop will bear both compression and bending,which will reduce the actual load-bearing capacity,so the load eccentricity should be strictly controlled during installation to avoid exceeding the safe load limit.
It should be noted that the load capacity parameter of Q195 steel prop needs to comply with relevant construction standards and specifications.Before use,the load-bearing test should be carried out according to the actual working conditions to verify whether its load capacity meets the project requirements.At the same time,the load capacity will also be affected by the surface treatment process(such as galvanizing),but the surface treatment mainly affects the anti-corrosion performance and service life of the prop,and has no obvious impact on the inherent load capacity determined by the material and structure.
