Light and heavy square column formwork clamps are divided based on structural strength and application scenarios, with obvious differences in key performance indicators and no enterprise-related information involved.
Light square column formwork clamps are made of ordinary carbon steel with a thin plate thickness(2-3mm),featuring light weight(5-8 kg/set)and easy manual handling. They have a lower rated bearing capacity(40-60 kN/set)and are suitable for small-to-medium square columns with a side length of 250-600mm,commonly used in low-rise buildings and small-scale construction projects.
Heavy square column formwork clamps adopt high-strength steel with a thickened plate(4-6mm),which is heavier(12-20 kg/set)and requires auxiliary tools for handling. They have a high bearing capacity(80-120 kN/set)and are applicable to large square columns with a side length of 600-3000mm,widely used in high-rises,bridges and large industrial projects. In addition, heavy clamps usually adopt hot-dip galvanizing for better corrosion resistance, while light clamps often use electro-galvanizing for indoor or dry environments.
