High-temperature environments(such as construction near high-temperature equipment, summer outdoor high-temperature construction, and petrochemical high-temperature working areas)will affect the mechanical properties and service life of scaffolding couplers,so strict usage requirements must be followed to avoid safety hazards.
First, the selection of couplers must meet high-temperature resistance requirements.Common scaffolding couplers should be made of high-temperature resistant materials such as high-quality alloy steel, which can maintain stable mechanical properties at 100-200℃without softening or deformation.Drop forged couplers are more suitable for high-temperature environments than pressed ones due to their dense internal structure and strong high-temperature resistance.
Second, surface treatment of couplers should be adapted to high-temperature conditions.Ordinary galvanized layers are prone to aging and falling off at high temperatures,so high-temperature resistant anti-corrosion treatments such as high-temperature resistant paint or ceramic coating are recommended to prevent oxidation and corrosion of the coupler surface.
Third, regular inspection and maintenance are essential.High temperatures will accelerate the wear and aging of couplers,so it is necessary to check the tightness of bolts, the integrity of the surface protective layer, and whether there are cracks or deformations regularly.Once defects are found, the couplers should be replaced in time.
In addition, the load-bearing capacity of couplers decreases at high temperatures,so the actual load should be strictly controlled below the rated load, and overloading is prohibited. At the same time, the installation of couplers should avoid direct contact with high-temperature surfaces to reduce the impact of high temperature on their performance.
